September 25, 2017

The inaugural 2017 Life Champion Hero Award was presented Sept. 13, at the Southwest Transplant Alliance Conference in Dallas to ETMC Tyler Chaplain Robert Stovall.

This inaugural award honors Mr. Stovall who has demonstrated an unprecedented dedication to save lives through donation and transplantation,” said Anne Willingham, hospital services associate. “His work was above and beyond most individuals, that we felt we needed to honor him in some way… so we created this award.”

Stovall was honored for his life of ministering and caring for families who are most in need and serving as the model for dedication, passion and service.

Willingham added, “As the hospital chaplain he is always where he’s needed most. In fact, he has been described as ‘omnipresent’ and a person who is full of grace, patience and empathy.”

Stovall has been with ETMC Tyler for 11 years.
