ETMC Tyler Volunteer Resources has opportunities for high school students to become a junior volunteer during the summer.
The program is for students who will be entering grades 10 -12 this fall. The six-week program is June 5-July 14 with a mandatory orientation June 5.
To be considered for the program, students must:
- Complete an application, which includes writing a short essay
- Provide a letter of recommendation from a school principal or counselor
- Demonstrate a great attitude
- Have a 3.0 or above GPA
Juniors volunteer either one full-day or two half-days for a weekly total of eight hours. In addition, they also have the opportunity to participate in the leadership academy program and tour hospital departments.
The program is limited to 50 students. Applicants turning in completed registration forms and supporting material are accepted first come, first served. The deadline for applicants is Friday, April 21.
