Numerous ETMC hospitals across benefit from the wonderful work of volunteers who contribute their time and talents to ETMC's mission of care.The following groups welcome new adult volunteers who can provide service to their community hospital and the people it serves:

What is the Auxiliary?
The Auxiliary is a group of adult volunteers that support the mission of their local ETMC hospital by providing services with compassion, excellence and efficiency.Auxiliary volunteers provide vital assistance in clinical and support areas of ETMC hospitals and raise significant funds through ETMC Gift Shops and other fundraising initiatives.? These charitable funds are used to benefit the local hospitals and, in some communities, to provide scholarships to health career college students.?

Who can volunteer?
Anyone!Whether you are retired, working full-time or a stay-at-home mom, we have a role that fits your time and talents.

What are the benefits of volunteering?
While volunteers offer their services free of charge, they do receive many benefits.They have a chance to learn new skills, while making new friends and developing new interests.Volunteering at an ETMC facility allows people to stay active and involved in the community.Most of all, volunteers receive the satisfaction that comes from being needed and doing something special for others.

Do I need any special skills?
There are numerous volunteer opportunities at each ETMC hospital.Depending on the department and duties, different skill levels and training are required for specific volunteer roles.All volunteers must participate in an orientation that includes HIPAA (privacy) training and additional instruction.
