In her words, Dr. C. Renee Bean was trained by “a die-hard family physician.” That helped shape her approach to family medicine.
“Your family physician should be well-rounded enough to take care of 90 percent of your needs. That’s the way medicine used to be practiced and I think it’s still the best way.
“I care about my patients and I think the neatest thing is actually becoming a part of their lives. I take care of multiple members of the same family and that continuity of care is probably what I enjoy the most.”
A wife and mother of three, Dr. Bean finds time to go on missions with her church and assist with youth ministries. “I volunteer because I want to instill in my children that it’s important to do things for other people.”
