Philosophy:

Family physician Dr. Maria M. Crompton wanted to be a doctor since childhood, but it was her experiences later in life that shaped her interests. “I did a family medicine rotation in rural West Texas and after that, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.”
Dr. Crompton likes small-town living and feels right at home in Pittsburg, where she is devoted to her career and her patients. “As a doctor, you build relationships with people and you take care of babies and watch them grow into adults. To me, that lifelong patient relationship is what it’s all about.”
With a background of volunteer service that includes teaching Sunday school, leading a Girl Scout troop and building Habitat for Humanity homes, Dr. Crompton is also devoted to her community. “I believe in doing as much as I can to help people and touch lives in a positive way.”
