Philosophy:

“I love the whole family dynamic,” Blount said. “Knowing the interactions between the family helps you treat each individual person in that family.”
For example, a parent reluctant to quit smoking might be more motivated by knowing that secondhand smoke increases the incidence of ear infections, asthma and allergies in children.
“It’s all about teaching people to make the best choices so they have the best life they can have.”
Another satisfaction is watching families grow strong and healthy under her care: “There’s comfort in knowing that I can actually see the results of what I do. And that’s a really nice thing.”
