Board-certified urologist Dr. Andrew Roberts has been focusing on patients since 2000. Now the Tyler native is putting patients first at a brand new ETMC First Physicians urology clinic.
“My goals are to set up a new practice where people get the time and the concern they need, and to practice good, conservative medicine. I’d certainly be delighted to continue taking care of the patients I’ve come to know over the past eight years.”
Even though his father is a urologist, Dr. Roberts wasn’t certain the specialty was right for him until he saw that it combines all of his professional interests. “In urology, you develop long-term relationships with your patients, and that’s what’s enjoyable about medicine: getting to talk with people. It involves surgery, which I wanted to do, but it also involves the clinical side of medicine.”
Dr. Roberts’ personal interests center around family and church. “As a family, we love to snow ski. It’s a great chance to spend time together and be outside. We’re also very involved in our church and have found a lot of enjoyment there.”
