Philosophy:

Board-certified family medicine physician Adam Duran, MD, was considering becoming a trauma surgeon until he went to interview for residency at a rural hospital in northwest Louisiana. “From the moment I walked in the door, I knew this was how the art and science of medicine should be practiced. I wanted to be trained by the best to perform family medicine the traditional way.”
For Dr. Duran this means providing his patients with a full range of medical needs, whether it’s in the clinic, emergency room or hospital. “I was trained to treat pretty much everything and to make sure that people have access to the best care possible without having to go to a big city.”
Dr. Duran’s love of small towns comes naturally. He was born and raised in Henderson, and his wife is from Carthage. “This is a perfect fit for me and my family. I’m all about what’s going to make the hospital better and what’s going to help the community thrive, and ETMC is a great example of that.”
