A transformation that proves our commitment
Since 1995 when ETMC affiliated with the ‘60s-era Houston County Hospital, local residents have watched the transformation of a worn, outdated facility into ETMC Crockett–a modern hospital that would be the envy of most hospitals its size anywhere in the country.
In the years since, we have invested more than $27 million in facility and technology upgrades, including constructing a professional office building, an education center and a new surgery wing.
We have added a number of services to better serve the residents of Houston County, as well, including the Family Birthplace and an intensive care unit.
Today’s ETMC Crockett
Today, we provide a number of inpatient and outpatient services ranging from surgery to diagnostics and cardiac rehabilitation to a 24-hour Level IV trauma center and emergency department.
We are home to the ETMC First Physicians clinic in Crockett, which offers primary care for your entire family, as well as the services of many visiting specialists.
We are active participants in training the next generation of healthcare providers. Working in conjunction with Angelina College and the Houston County Hospital District, we opened the Angelina College School of Vocational Nursing at ETMC Crockett in 2001. An average of four to 10 nurses graduate from the program each year.
ETMC also provides a variety of other medical programs in Houston County, such as ETMC Home Health and ETMC EMS.
