Offering the best to the people of Red River County
Community support has long driven local access to healthcare in Red River County. In July 1937, under the direction of Mrs. C.A. Barney, Red River General Hospital was opened.
Continuing in that tradition of support, in 1974 the Red River General Hospital Board of Directors announced the construction of a new 66-bed facility on a 15-acre tract of land on Highway 82 West. The project was completed in 1976.
In 1996, Red River General affiliated with ETMC and became ETMC Clarksville.
Today’s ETMC Clarksville
Today, we stand as Red River County’s only hospital. And, thanks to continuing support from the community, we provide a wide array of medical services including a 24-hour emergency department designated a level IV trauma center, up-to-date lab and imagining departments, inpatient care and physical therapy.
We are home to the ETMC First Physicians clinic in Clarksville, which offers primary care for your entire family, as well as the services of many visiting specialists.
We also operate the Lennox Health Resource Center, located on the square in downtown Clarksville. Through the center, we offer diabetes education and exercise classes, as well as glucose testing, blood pressure checks and individual health education. We also host Paris Counseling on a weekly basis at the center.
We constantly strive to improve the care we provide and to do so in a kind and caring way.
ETMC Home Health also serves Red River County allowing patients to receive the care they need from the comfort of their homes.
