Class Descriptions
All classes are 50 minutes in length unless otherwise noted

Lower Cuts
A class designed for the beginner and utilizing a variety of equipment and dynamic movements to help strengthen and develop the quads, hamstrings and calves. This workout concludes with a series of stretches to maintain and improve flexibility.

Pilates
Pilates is an exercise program which improves muscle strength, control, flexibility and coordination through fluid body movements that utilize the spine and deep muscle groups.

Olympic Spin
Utilizing a stationary cycle in a group format, during this class the instructor guides participants through a variety of workout phases including warm-up, up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs and cool down. Participants adjust their own intensity on the bike making it appropriate for all fitness levels. Class is 30 minutes in duration.

Upper Cuts
A class designed for the beginner to help improve strength and range of motion in the arms, shoulders, chest and upper back. This workout concludes with a series of stretches to maintain and improve flexibility.

Yoga
Focusing on movement corresponding with breath, this class flows from one pose to the next improving strength, balance, as well as reducing stress and tension within the body. Utilizing modifications of the poses, yoga is appropriate for all fitness levels.

Core Essentials
An effective and fun class designed to strengthen and define your core abdominal and back muscles. Core Essentials will utilize a wide variety of core equipment such as stability balls and medicine balls. Whether you want to flatten that stomach or alleviate back pain, the Jacksonville Olympic Center welcomes you to join us in Core Essentials.
