Straight talk about scoliosis
presented by Dr. Todd Raabe
6 p.m., Tuesday – August 4th
Join Todd Raabe, MD, a fellowship-trained Azalea Orthopedics surgeon who specializes in adult and pediatric spinal surgery, for a KnowledgeFirst forum on the treatment of adolescent scoliosis.
Scoliosis, or curvature of the spine, most frequently develops in early adolescence, and if allowed to progress, it can lead to a significant curve that affects a young person’s appearance, posture, gait and self-image.
In most cases scoliosis can successfully be treated with bracing and close supervision. For young people whose scoliosis progresses despite the bracing, surgery may be recommended.
Dr. Raabe will discuss scoliosis treatment options, including an advanced robotic guidance system that enhances accuracy and safety, improves outcomes in scoliosis surgery and is available in East Texas through Azalea Orthopedics and ETMC.
Parking is available next to the ETMC Pavilion, 801 Clinic Drive in Tyler.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
