The phrase “movement disorders” refers to a group of neurological conditions that cause abnormal voluntary or involuntary movements, or slow, reduced movements. Two common movement disorders are Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor.
At the next ETMC KnowledgeFirst forum, neurologist Dr. George Plotkin of the ETMC Neurological Institute will provide an overview of both disorders that will include discussion of symptoms, treatments and the difference between essential tremor and Parkinson’s.
