Patients who complete an inpatient or observation stay at any
ETMC acute care hospital can access an online summary of care for
their stay through the MyETMC Web portal, MyETMC.org.
The summary of care includes discharge medications, allergies,
lab test results, problem lists, vital signs and discharge
information, and is available for patients admitted to any acute
care ETMC hospital on or after July 9. (Information on behavioral
health and long-term acute care patients is not included in the
portal at this time.)
"MyETMC provides a snapshot of the clinical care during the
patient's stay at an ETMC hospital. It is not a complete copy of
all the patient's health information. However, it can be invaluable
information, if the patient needs follow-up care with another
provider or at another facility," said Carroll Rogé, chief
operating officer for FirstNet, a health information exchange which
powers the portal.
The summary of care for each hospital stay is available online
to patients within 36 hours of discharge. MyETMC.org is free,
secure, easy to use and available 24/7.
"We recognize that health information must be protected," Rogé
said. "Our systems are encrypted to ensure that your records remain
private. We protect user names and passwords, and we encourage
patients to do the same. MyETMC is fully compliant with federal and
state laws regarding privacy."
MyETMC.org is home to three portals:
•MyETMC HOSPITALS allows inpatients and observation patients
access to a summary of care for each acute care hospital stay.
•MyETMC CLINICS allows ETMC First Physicians patients to view
lab results, request appointments, refill prescriptions and
securely message their provider.
•MyETMC HOSPITAL BILL PAY allows hospital patients to pay their
bill securely online.
