The East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System has
named David Langston as the new vice president for human
Langston joined ETMC in 1998 as the compensation / benefits
director and has served in that capacity as well as other human
resources management areas for the ETMC system.
Langston has 24 years of experience in healthcare human
resources management and holds a master of science in human
resources development from the University of Texas at Tyler. He is
also certified by the national Society of Human Resources
Management as a Senior Professional in Human Resources
(SPHR). Langston also instructs HR management certification
courses at Kilgore College.
ETMC is one of the largest employers in East Texas with over
6500 team members at 13 hospitals including Athens, Carthage,
Clarksville, Crockett, Fairfield, Gilmer, Henderson, Jacksonville,
Mount Vernon, Pittsburg, Quitman, Trinity and Tyler.
Langston is a native of Arlington, Texas, and resides in Lindale
with his wife, Marsha and has two daughters, who are in
Langston replaces Mike Gray who retired in May after 32 years of
service at ETMC.
